Three contractors took over the Maquassi Hills road projects


Boskuil - Three contractors have taken over the road projects assigned to them by the Department of Public Works & Roads in the North West

 The department set aside R750 million for Maquassi Hills road projects. Road project consultants have been introduced to Maquassi Hills residents. MEC for the Public Works & Roads in the province Gaoage Molapisi made an official announcement on contractors who took on the projects which have already began. 

NEP Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd has been appointed to take over the road project that is currently underway, the company is upgrading the gravel road to a standard surface in Boskuil

"NEP Consulting Engineers (PTY) LTD has been appointed for upgrading gravel to the surface standard of D1955 in Boskuil" - The North West MEC for Public Works and Roads, Gaoage Molapisi

Designs of the D1954 road have been layed to the department by the appointed contrator,  the
NEP Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd. 

Molapisi also said, Tau Pele Construction (Pty) Ltd  has been roped in to rehabilitate and reseal the P13/4 road in Wolmaransstad 

"The department has planned the upgrading from gravel to surface standard of Road D1954 (design) in Boskuil. Do the rehabilitation and reseal of Road P13/4 at Wolmaransstad" - The North West MEC for Public Works and Roads, Gaoage Molapisi

Boskuil area has gravel roads which have been undrivable in most instances at rainy seasons. Residents have also experienced challenges in navigating their area during wet weather due to muddy gravel roads which makes vehicles be unable to drive around to and from the area

Thobile M. Building Construction  took on re-graveling and culverts installation of Road D155 from Kameelboom to Kareepan

These road projects are constructed at an approximate amount of R745 million. Through these projects,  more than 200 have employed and 30% of them are sub-contracting in Maquassi Hills.

Boskuil residents have welcomed the projects which will enhance their navigation of their areq during wet & dry weather seasons
