The EFF Youth Command has hit at the ANC Youth League for organising a Youth Demand March in Maquassi Hills

The Economic Freedom Fighters Youth Command in the Maquassi Hills sub-region  has hit at the African National Congress Youth League for organising a demand march

The Youth Command says, it states without fear or contradiction that the residents of Maquassi Hills would not be used as foot soldiers in ANC factional battles

The Youth Command also said, The ANC Youth League's Youth Demand March was nothing but a desperate attempt by a divided organisation to mobilise unsuspecting masses to fight internal leadership battles 




The ANC Youth League demands the Mayor to account on various matters which include youth employment, running water taps and removal of health hazard dumping sites in the municipality

The EFF Youth Command said, The ANC Youth League's Demand March is not genuine  and it is a personal attack disguised as a community demand




"We state without fear or contradiction, the people of Maquassi Hills will not be used as foot soldiers in ANC factional wars. This march is nothing but a desperate attempt by a divided organisation to mobilise unsuspecting masses to fight internal leadership battles that have nothing to do with the lived realities of our people. We refuse to be dragged into their chaos. This march is not genuine. It is a personal attack disguised as a community demand" - EFF Youth Command in  Maquassi Hills sub-region

The Maquassi Hills Municipality is currently facing service delivery issues which the ANC Youth League marched about



The Youth Command said, the Youth League's march was about local elections, not service delivery.  The Youth Command also said, with municipal elections coming, factions inside the ANC are using people's pain to score political points

The ANC Youth League  marched to the Maquassi Hills Municipality to demand accountablity over various mentioned issues and calling on the removal of the Mayor

The EFF Youth Command challenged the Youth League to use ANC structures to remove Maquassi Hills Mayor from office




"If ANC Youth League was serious about accountablity, they would march to every office that has failed Maquassi Hills - including Office of the Speaker. We challenge ANCYL, if you truly lost confidence in your own Mayor, use your ANC structures to recall him. Do not use the youth of Maquassi Hills to do it for you. This is nothing but a cheap election stunt using our children as props. EFFYC will not allow the youth of Maquassi Hills to be misled and used as foot soldiers in ANC factional battles" - EFF Youth Command in Maquassi Hills sub-region

The Office of the Mayor of Maquassi Hills Municipality has not released a statement or responded to the recently held Youth Demand March
