Wolmaransstad - In a significant step towards enhancing community safety, the DR KK District Municipality's Office of the Executive Mayor has donated essential crime prevention and self-defense items to the Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Wolmaransstad
This initiative aims to strengthen crime-fighting efforts and equip community members with the necessary resources to protect themselves and their neighborhoods

During the handover, SAPS representatives emphasized the importance of community involvement in crime prevention
They also raised concerns about the growing issue of underage alcohol and substance abuse, urging adults to stop sending minors to purchase liquor, cigarettes, and snuff a practice that contributes to early addiction and delinquency
Constable Magozo further educated the community on domestic violence and abusive behavior, explaining the protection order process and encouraging both men and women to seek help if they are victims of abuse
