A group of unemployed youth from Ward 13 in Promosa (Ikageng, JB Marks) took a bold step towards creating a cleaner and safer community!
They approached the Office of the Speaker in Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality, expressing their interest in cleaning up the park in their area.
With the support of the Community-Based Planners (CBPs) in JB Marks, the youth carried out an inspiring clean-up campaign.
They cleaned the park, painted the pavement, and restored a sense of pride in their surroundings. Their motivation? To reduce unnecessary crime and loitering in the area while promoting community responsibility.
But their vision doesn’t stop here! These young changemakers are already looking to the future, with plans to start cultivating and greening the space to ensure long-term sustainability.
A big salute to these committed youth for leading by example! Let’s continue to support local initiatives that make our communities better.
