Born on 28 April 1925, Nkoko Kgosi attributes her longevity to a life of simplicity, strong family values, and the intangible principles of divine grace
Her inspiring story is a testament to the power of community, love, and dedication
During this celebration, MEC for Social Development, Basetsana Sussana Dantjie urges families to prioritise elderly care while we all support active ageing initiatives, highlighting the importance of intergenerational interface and connections
The Department said, it will incorporate centenarian birthday celebrations into its #ReThuseReGoThuse flagship programme, an interface intending to include the honour and accommodation of seniors like Nkoko Kgosi,who continue to inspire and enrich their communities

This gesture by Department of Social Development together with Maquassi Hills Local Municipality and Dr KK District Municipality of recognizing and celebrating senior citizens has demonstrated love and also show the elderly that they are recognised for the contributions they played in the life of the society in general
