The Patriotic Alliance is adamant that it will not vote to impeach President Ramaphosa

Parliament recently finished setting up the impeachment committee, which will include 31 MPs from several political parties.

The committee will be looking into whether Ramaphosa violated his oath of office in the alleged cover-up of a burglary at his Phala Phala farm, where large sums of foreign currency were stolen.

Many parties in the Government of National Unity (GNU) played their cards close to their chest regarding the upcoming impeachment committee, saying their decisions will be swayed by the evidence presented.

However, that is not the case for the Patriotic Alliance, whose president, Gayton McKenzie, has already backed Ramaphosa before the process starts.
