• Various youth individuals from Maquassi Hills became part of the Unemployment Dialogue that was organised by the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District. The dialogue sought to challenge the impact left by the high unemployment in the district
• Charges of public violence against EFF members in Maquassi Hills have been dropped. Members of the EFF who were arrested during the party's National Shutdown 2 years ago are off the hook. • Fight against HIV & AIDS initiative supported by SANAC, aims to empower forums from Maquassi Hills and other municipalities from the district with the knowledge and tools needed to address HIV/AIDS-related challenges in their communities
• Some Maquassi Hills residents are left without electricity into their house as they report that their meter boxes still shows EEE or EEE3
• Safety Patrollers (CSP) in Lebaleng, Makwassie were singing to the top of their voices during their certificate awarding ceremony. The 32 patrollers received induction and formal training on General Security, acredited by Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)
• Teachers and learners at Tiragalo Secondary School, in the Kgakala community, recently celebrated the opening of their newly launched library
