Leeudoringstad, Kgakala - Residents in Kgakala in the Leeudoringstad says they feel neglected by the Maquassi Hills Municipality
Residents also says, service delivery issues are not well attended by the municipality
Their complaints come at the back of uncollected waste and continuous spillage of sewer which causes a smell in the area
They have accused the municipality of inconsistence in taking care of service delivery issues in the area
"This is something we are used to in Kgakala Location, Leeudoringstad. Stench and more stench. Actually for what are these Maquassi Hills Municipality 's workers paid for?" - Concerned community members
Recently, the community of Kgakala signed a petition with Batho Pele Movement over unhealthy living conditions
The movement said, the landfill site is very hazardous to the health of the community members living beside the site
"We are investing our efforts and energy on the removal of the dumping site that is located at the entrance of our location. We've realized that the dumping site is very much hazardous to the health of our people, particularly those living in ext 4,5,6,7,8 and 9" - Batho Pele Movement
Kgakala community said, they feel like their is forgotten by it's own municipality as services do not reach them as they should
