March against illegal shop owners and immigrants in Wolmaransstad set to go ahead despite calls not to participate



March against alleged illegal shop owners and immigrants who reside in Wolmaransstad and Tswelelang township set to take place even though there  calls urging community members not engage in such activity

In the latest information circulating on social media, there are calls that illegal immigrants leave the Wolmaransstad town and its township, Tswelelang

In the information seen by Wolmaransstad Link, the march will begin at the Wolmaransstad Police Station on Thursday, 25 June 2026 at 10am




This is said to be a peaceful call to restore law, order, protection of community, jobs and resources, also the information suggests that, all people owed by foreign nationals come foward and report their cases, women who have babies but no support, spaza shop businesses and informal traders must also be part of the activity to come and discuss their challenges, all unemployed persons be part to raise their voices, demand solution and opportunities

However, some community members are devided over calls to have alleged illegal shop owners and immigrants vacant the Wolmaransstad town and its township

Concerned community members are urging individuals willing to take part in closing down shops of foreign nationals in Wolmaransstad not to engage in such activity


These concerned community members have raised concerns that if  these shops are closed, it will make matters hard as they rely on these spaza shops for necessities. The said closure in Wolmaransstad targets stores allegedly operated by illegal shop owners in Tswelelang township

These residents are butting heads as some want illegal foreigners to vacate the areas while others do not support the idea to vacate foreign nationals in Wolmaransstad and Tswelelang
