A Fun Walk initiative that was held in Tswelelang spread a message of children's safety and protection


On Wednesday, late June 2026, the Wolmaransstad SAPS members, in partnership with the CPF and Community in Blue (CIB), hosted a Fun Walk

The event involved learners from Peloentle Early Learning Centre, Angels Day Care Centre, and Happy Haben CED. The fun walk commenced at Tswelelang Sports Ground and concluded at Happy Haben CED at the AME Church



Children walked approximately 1.5 km carrying playcards with messages promoting child safety and protection

The route covered Kagiso Drive and Donekas Street, allowing the young participants to raise awareness about the importance of protecting children within the community


The event proceeded smoothly and safely, with SAPS, CPF, and CIB members ensuring compliance with road safety measures throughout the walk

The initiative successfully promoted child protection awareness while fostering positive engagement between law enforcement, stakeholders, and the community

SAMWU affiliated employees wants Maquassi Hills Municipal Manager to resign
