Bokamoso Solar continues to empower Tiragalo Secondary learners & Kgakala community

Leeudoringstad, Kgakala - Teachers and learners at Tiragalo Secondary School, in the Kgakala community, recently celebrated the opening of their newly launched library

Funded by Bokamoso Solar, this transformation aims to foster educational growth, bridge the digital gap, and provide learners with the tools they need to succeed

With over 1 000 learners at the school, the enhanced library is expected to make a lasting impact by improving access to information, supporting diverse learning activities, and creating an engaging academic space for both learners and teachers

Underscoring the importance of community development and education, the event was attended by key local stakeholders, including representatives from the Department of Education, SAPS, Leeudoringstad Community Police Forum, and the Maquassi Hills Local Municipal Library

“Our goal is to empower the local high school and its learners by providing tangible resources that improve educational outcomes, inspire learners, and equip young minds with the tools they need to succeed. This initiative aligns with our broader commitment to fostering a resilient and thriving community within the Leeudoringstad area,” - Qinisani Siveshe, Social Performance Manager at Bokamoso Solar

The support included vital resources, including Lenovo IdeaPads, LED projectors, tripod screens, magnetic whiteboards, tables and chairs in addition to other essential equipment. These additions have turned the library into a dynamic learning hub, offering learners a conducive environment to enhance their academic journey

“This upgrade will undoubtedly enhance our teaching and learning environment, providing our learners with access to state-of-the-art resources and technology. The new library will enable us as teachers to implement more interactive and immersive learning experiences, which will help our learners develop essential skills for the 21st century. Moreover, the upgrade will foster a more collaborative and inclusive learning community, allowing our learners to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally,” -  Sunday Gumbi, a teacher at Tiragalo Secondary School
