The competition created an atmosphere of intellectual vibrancy, where young minds engaged in thought-provoking dialogue on pressing societal issues.

The seniors confronted the challenging issue of sports betting—covering horse racing, boxing, and major international events such as the FIFA World Cup.
Their arguments touched on both the economic benefits and social consequences, including gambling addiction, financial strain on families, and the importance of government regulation to protect vulnerable citizens.
Only four schools advanced to the grand finals:
• Junior Category: Thuto Tsebo Secondary (Maquassi Hills)
• Senior Category: Potch Secondary and Sarafina Secondary
The Office of the Single Whip commended all participants for their commitment, passion, and the quality of debates delivered. The competition not only sharpened learners’ intellectual abilities but also empowered them to become responsible, informed, and active citizens.
