North West athletes to participate at the ICLU

Eight North West athletes have been selected to participate at the International Cheer Leader Union (ICLU) at the World Championships in Orlando (USA).

The ICLU World Championships is the pinnacle event for cheerleading and brings together teams from all over the world.

It is an opportunity for  athletes to show case their talents, sportsmanship, and passion for cheerleading. The event will take place from the  23rd to 25th April 2025, and we are excited to represent South Africa in this prestigious platform.

The Sport Department in North West says it  will cover all the costs, which include attire, fight tickets, registration fees, training facilities, and meals.

These participants were selected after having gone a marathon of competition, which ended at the national event held at the University of Cape Town from 21st September to 28 September 2024. The participants are pupils from Tlhabane West Primary  School in Rustenburg.

"We are proud and excited that we have a team that is going to represent our province at this prestigious event. Our best wishes goes to team SA and will be in our prayers".
